Waterworks Prairie Park sits upon complex natural, social, political, and cultural histories that are completely unknown to the standard visitor. By using the park's ability to educate and renew interest in the landscape, Capstone Collective aims to foster a community that appreciates the environment and all of its facets through shared experiences and educational resources. Large limestone rocks are placed throughout the park to call out important aspects that describe the park’s history. As visitors are led through the park by limestone markers and major pathways, they arrive at the intersection Capstone is situated around where they are able to process, share, and learn about the underlying histories of the landscape and their gained experiences throughout the park.
